Hi,
I see a lot of posts, a lot of views, no reply's?...
Is there another Ford Forum group out there that have people in it with mechanical skills and that reply to 'need help' questions?
Thanks, MK

Hi Hank, thanks for the reply.
I previously posted this yesterday.. Here it is again.
Hi, newbie here.
Hope someone can help... In the AM, when I first drive off, I touch the brakes to stop and the front left wheel chirps and skids for 6 inches. This continues for the next 10 braking moments. I have replaced the front pads and the left side is worn far more than the right. What could be leading to the problem? What should I start checking first?
Thanks, MikeK

Let's think this out a little. Either the left front is doing all the work or the right front isn't doing its share.
Are the caliper pins clean and lubed to assure free movement, BOTH SIDES, ?
I would make one brake application as you state when first starting out and then remove the L/F wheel to be sure the caliper is not dragging. Possibly the brake hose has a restriction in it preventing the caliper from releasing. Also , make sure the right front caliper is free to do it's job. Did you remove the accumulated rust between the caliper and the wheel spindle so the caliper doesn't jam while trying to move? Take a file and clean the rust from the surfaces so the caliper has some ply to move.
Let me know what you find.
