yes--- the dealership guys said the injector current come directly from the PCM. I figured there was a separate
board with current amplifiers.
How would one measure the voltage drop across the fuses without removing the whole fuse block and trying to access the bottom ? Some of the big fuses have exposed electrodes but the small ones dont do they ?

The red disks are the full shop manuals (Wiring Diagrams, Workshop Manuals and EVTMs) for the full line of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars and trucks for the model year(s) listed on the disc (probably not the heavy truck lines).
To determine the current draw on a good automotive fuse, you can measure the voltage drop across the fuse. The back side of the blades are exposed at the rear of the fuse and is easily accessible with the fuse installed.
The voltage drop across the fuse will be in millivolts (mV) and there are plenty of charts online to convert the voltage drop to current for various fuse sizes (search for "fuse voltage drop chart").
You are correct that the relays have no external test points, but that's not the topic here.
