Default gauge cluster diagnostics

hi ,what does fuel pr and a 3 digit number after that and fuel ad and 3 digits mean when in diagnostic mode through the gauge cluster mean?i'm having serious issues with the cluster not working.i've done all pin checks, etc, replaced the harness's and the tach stepper motor because it wasn't working.the tach works when the whole cluster is on.i've tried resoldering all the connections at the pin connectors and still can't find the problem on where it's cracked at.i think i'm gonna have to get another cluster used somewhere and have to deal with the wrong mileage but it's better than running out of gas,not knowing my speed or having my windows or radio work..

The voltage indicator appears to lack a good connection, When the needle goes all the way down like it appears,it means there is either no power or ground to that part of the dash. You might start with checking all the wiring that leaves the voltage indicator.that goes to ground. I would suspect one of those ground connections is not good.

Here is the silly question of the day,,,,,,,,did you check all the fuses,,,inside and in engine compartment?

[QUOTE=hanky;129929]The voltage indicator appears to lack a good connection, When the needle goes all the way down like it appears,it means there is either no power or ground to that part of the dash. You might start with checking all the wiring that leaves the voltage indicator.that goes to ground. I would suspect one of those ground connections is not good. i didn't do any of that extra checking cause it's in the cluster pc board.after doing all the wires and pins check and then actually replacing both harnesses still didn't do the trick.i left the cover off so that i could press in or pull out on the clusters soft body.it sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't so easily.it seems that it's also temp related kind of or at least i think it is in that the the board is contracted in the cold and expanded in the heat, moisture and vibration or bumps..on and off in different ways very annoying and unpredictable.even running my finger lightly in btween cluster and mounting over the speedometer area it will sometimes make it all work..it's weird like my static makes it work sometimes..but anyway i need to replace it or have a pro shop take a look at it.i hope there is a local shop cause sending it out and getting it back is going to take a long time..too bad ford didn't have recalls on this common issue.you'd think they'd get it right..but anyways again i'm wondering what the codes mean,do you know?.thanks.

You posted 2 posts, numbers 1 & 3 where are the codes?

Why are you replacing wiring when you didn't prove that was the problem?

after messing with connector spread and pins ,and resoldering all the pin connects i thought it was the wires or connectors.they were cheap at $25 for both harnesses.what do these 2 codes mean? what do the letters 'ad and 'pr' mean?

Those are not the trouble codes we need to see.
The codes we need are only obtained with either a code reader or scan tool. What does your owner's manual have to say if you get that type display?

Just type in ford trouble codes and there many.,
You can get Powertrain, Chassis, and Body code numbers and definitions.
