There are 2 systems on my bus one battery under the hood one under the bus door. When putting batteries back in I accidentally put the one underneath in backwards and blew some fuses. I replaced the fuse that went to the radio because it wouldn’t work. But when I started the bus it wouldn’t shift out of park, I twisted key once and was able to shift into neutral then start it, and after shift to D or R. This overrode the shift interlock actuator which has a solenoid that maybe I blew. But when I turned it on it still wouldn’t shift snd the battery seemed to draw even fast almost visibly. So I put the old one back in and slept on it then a friend told me check the fuse number 11 it was empty so I put one in and it shifted and my breaks and blinkers worked. Something is still drawing it down though I can trickle charge it all night then start it drive it somewhere and then if i let it sit it won’t start back up. I don’t know what to do I’m about to drive from Seattle to Cleveland I plán to just stop every night in front of a auto store so I can jump it and continue on. It’s frustrating cause all was well with it but I fell asleep with the lights on and killed the battery’s then after recharging them I put it in the wrong way and created all this stress for myself. So yea a parasitic draw somewhere is taking it down checked it while running snd was at 14 amps. When I check them after it sits they’re around 11 amps and leaking slow. It is cold here but that shouldn’t cause it to drain batteries are said to be good and I can charge them then check them when not connected and they stay above 12 amps, any help would be awesome. Shared with this is the schematics I got from my friend.
had it in a shop today said when I put battery in backwards it blew the regulator on the alternator. So when the bud was on the alternator was testing as good but it wasn’t being regulated.
