Horn needs replaced I think
I have an 03 Chateau and the horn stopped working. I've had the van for about three years and the horn was always a little weak and upon searching there are 2 types single and dual note. I assumed I had a single. When I looked at the horn they were duals. BTW the fuse was OK and the relay clicks when button is pushed. I swapped relays with the trailer light one and it also clicked so I am thinking bad horn. Any other places I can look? I would like some input on a little louder horn if I have to replace it.
Thanks

Something that has worked for me in the past, give the horn unit a few light taps with a hammer. Many times it will free up the diaphram inside. Stuff a rag in it and you can tap it while someone is holding the horn button down. If that doesn't help you may need to replace them.
Some have an adjustment screw to alter the sound. If there is a serrated head screw on the horn you might be able to turn the screw slightly to get things loose and working.

I always stuck a rag in the horn(s) when adjusting them because when they worked correctly without the rag in there it kinda disturbed the marbles in my noodle(head).
You remove what you have to, to get to the horns.
