Default How to make my 1996 Econoline last

I bought a 1996 Ford club wagon XLT for $1000 with 213,000 miles but I'm kinda scared of the high milage what preventative maintenance can I do to make this last and what test can I do to check the health of the engine and transmission it drives very good but someone put 100,000 mi on this van between 1996 and 1997 there is no maintenance for those first 100,000 miles, they sold it to a school and they did pretty good maintenance until they sold it to me

If you have a copy of the owner's manual , the maintenance schedule in there should cover things pretty well.

Of you don't have a copy , you can try ,

www.ford.com/support/owner manuals

. In there is all the info you should need to keep it in good shape and be dependable.
