No power to fuel pump 98 E150
I'm stumped! Here is my story... BTW thanks in advance for any help.
Cranking, No start. No power to the fuel pump.
1998 Ford E150 Club Wagon Van.
With a little starting fluid it fires right up...
My fuel pump was not making any sound so I checked the fuse (good)
I did a load test on the relay in the Power distribution box (good).
I checked the fuel shut off button, it is down like it is supposed to be and there is power to and from it when I turn the key.
I pulled the fuel pump out and tested it by hooking it to a battery it spins fine.
I tested the harness wires at the pump connection (Not good, no power getting to the pump)
The guy at the parts store said there is another relay in the engine compartment driver’s side fire wall. He said it is common that they go out on Econoline and sold me the part. Duralast 19911. Not sure if it is the EEC Relay or what but I can’t locate where it goes.
Turns out the part he sold me goes to an 89 not a 98.
My best guess is a short between the inertia switch and the fuel pump??
Is there anything else there? Does this year have a second relay or fuel pump driver module?
