Anyone knows what o2 sensors should I used for 1997 Ford E150, 4.6 Liter with 138" wheel base.
BTW, it's a conversion van.

 

My first choice would be to check with a Ford Parts Dept who will give you the correct sensor based on your vehicle VIN.
General auto supply stores will offer the sensor based on what info you provide to them like year, model, engine size etc.

Why do you suspect 02's?

 

Catalytic converter rotted out and leaked where the seams are. I am replacing the entire exhaust system.
The van is in really good shape and engine/transmission are running very well. I am looking for O2 sensors just in case the old ones would not come out easily.
I live in the area where you cannot work on your vehicle for more than a day without neighbors complaint.
All works must be done during the day while they are at work. So old parts out and new parts in as fast as I can get the, completed.
Contacted Ford dealership, and they asked me to look at the number from old sensors so they can order me the correct ones.

 

Some vehicles will work with the wrong sensors and some won't.
I'm a little surprised the Ford Parts dept gave you that reply because what if they were the wrong sensors in there?
You no doubt got hold of a yo-yo in their parts dept who was too lazy to look it up.. They go by the vehicle Identification Number of your vehicle. Try another dealership , they have the info for which is the correct sensor for your vehicle.

 

I contacted three dealerships in local area, and all three parts department gave me different answers.
I searched online and found ALL previous O2 sensors are replaced by one common parts # DY-1401.
Scratched my head and lost.
They are not easily to remove once the exhaust system is mounted and sensors are in, and they are expensive also. Any help with these questions are appreciated.

 

I saw the site where you found that DY1401 sensor, however a genuine Motorcraft sensor part # is; DY1093 and you will probably need 2 of them. They are before the converters.

 

I also need the ones after the converters as well.
