My girlfriend has a 1970 e300 econoline that the steering gear box just broke on, and while searching for a replacement I found someone who has a ram assist power steering setup complete with pump and v8 bracket from a 1974 econoline; he says he believes it will bolt up into 1969-1974, but can’t guarantee it. Looks like he has everything from the 1974; does anyone know if it will fit the 1970 without having to fabricate brackets, drill holes, etc?

 

What happened to this steering project ? Did the parts work off the 1974 model ?
