Ramrod -- No collapse now!

Ramrod -- No collapse now!
Good news Ramrod! Looked at all your prior tips today and decided to start with the simplist one-------checking the idle speed (This is in regards to the "collapse problem" we discussed).
Without the tac (it was at home) I went through the curb idle setting procedure and it was our judgment that I raised it about a 150 rpms ( to about 600). Then, took it for a test drive and sun- of-a gun if that didn't take care of it. I am elated and have learned to appreciate this site. It is people like you that make it a benefit and pleasure to use.
In perspective, in going over this issue and many of the possibilities that could contribute to the "collapse problem", I have without a doubt grown in my understanding of this vehicle. Now I even enjoy the vehicle much more. So, from me to you: THANKS!
What part of the woods are you located? I am in St.Louis.
Also thanks to Rusty for his choke possibility input.
Doyle (I will warn you I will be back)

RE: Ramrod -- No collapse now!
Well said Sabretooth and there is some excellent expertise here. If one comes here for help and is willing to do some thinking/work on their end of the wire, neat results can happen.
I am impressed with the format of this site, categorically by vehicle. It leads to the least of confusion and makes it more expedious in giving and getting information.
I am dying to get some information from owners of the new 5000 (hope I am correct on the title), I have heard that the car has a lot of volvo parts and engineering in it. It sure looks nice and if my rumors are correct, it should be a winner. Meanwhile, I am enjoying my old E150 because it is running better everyday! Thanks to everyone here.
