Default Sos alarm spasms 1996 e150

Please please please help. I have a 1996 e150 63xxx miles 1 previous owner. It's been sitting for a couple months 3 or 4 just because of no inspection. Still starts and up runs fine. The alarm started to go off this morning rapidly at 10x rate of speed. I unlocked started it nothing stopped it. Disconnected the battery reconnected still going off at 10x rate of speed. Please any info will help. I dont have a key fob just a key to get in.

Do you know if this alarm system is an add on or factory install ?

If it is an add on, , might be a good idea to disconnect it and see what happens. On later years add on features cause some unbelievable problems and folks don't know so they keep buying them and either have them installed or install them themselves. It is not only Ford, but today's new vehicles don't like add on s and have ways of getting even. The electronics in the vehicles are extremely sensitive to voltage fluctuations and respond accordingly, and those responses aggravate us A LOT !!

A little side note, if you only have one key , smart move to have at least 2 keys , especially if they are the coded ones. If you have 2 working coded keys you can code addl keys yourself. MUST have 2 working coded keys.
