Transmission

I have a 96 E-350 15 passenger 7.5L gas 460. It looks like a I have a sensor on the top dead center of my transmission, with one black wire leading to it. Can someone tell me what it is? There is oil leaking from it, should I replace it ?

Can you tell us how many bolts are holding the trans pan on?
