Default What are these!?!?

Hello all, first post. Got a new to me 1996 E150 with the 300 I6. Besides running hot it drove 3 hours home just fine but as I'm going through the van to repair the cooling system I found this big plug just hanging by the brake master. Then the small coolant hose that connects to the radiator by the transmission cooler lines is plugged with a chisel... Can anyone tell me what that plug and coolant hose go to? Thanks in advance!

First pic zoom out and attach a new pic.
Second pic it's likely a diagnostic port but not for ABS, you can see the connector has no locking tab for quick disconnect, diagnostic ports are all like that. Attach a new pic showing the wire pinout side, right now I can only see 7 wires.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, cruise control would make sense on the plug my van doesn't have cruise. As for the coolant hose it comes from a small port in the bottom radiator tank. Heater hoses are both hooked up, I see no where this could possibly connect to up top. I have a couple more pictures. Thanks again!
