As you probably know, if you wait too long to get it taken care of, lack of lubrication can cause rapid bushing wear and then seal replacement alone may not correct the entire problem.

Thanks Hanky: I just wanted to get the problem out there. My Edge is sitting in the driveway waiting for next Monday.

Question not fixed yet

I am getting the feeling that the dealer doesn't want to take on the warranty job ?

Well I hope that this is just a rare problem but I am still waiting for my brand new Edge to be fixed. No longer thinking of trading in my GMC Sierra 4X4 for a F-150.

Well after a month of sitting the Edge is back on the road. my problem now is that there isn't a good way to keep track of the transmission fluid level. If it leaks into the PTU you wont know unless the PTU spews it out somewhere. Ford is suppose to extend the driveline warranty to 100.000 mi. for my trouble

"Ford is suppose to extend the driveline warranty to 100.000 mi. for my trouble"

edge150...Just curious, are they also extending the time frame and did they put this in writing or just give you a verbal warranty extension?

If you could post...What was the actual problem, cause and fix? That would help others who may come across the same/similar issue down the road.
