Does anyone have a method for checking the transmission fluid on a 2015 edge awd with the 3.5. the owners manual is no help

 

There is a reason you are asking , can we ask why? Some newer transmissions have no provision to add nor change the internal filter. When they quit, replace trans !

 

I am the one waiting for the dealer to get the tools around to fix the leaky seal. I haven't been driving it but wanted to see what the level was the dipstick is down below some air cleaner thing and it can't be done like it says in the owners manual. There is a picture in my profile of the leak...it is in about the middle of the car but I can't get a good look at how things are put together under there with all the plastic shields and the close clearances. If that shaft is coming from the PTU the fluid in it must be contaminated with ATF.
