Default 2020 Edge Titanium missing a standard feature

I just bought this vehicle a few days ago. In a nutshell they left off a standard feature, auto park. It has the other co-pilot 360 features including the lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, etc. However the auto park button is nowhere to be found. I am also not able to activate the forward camera so I can see what's in front of me when pulling into my garage although that's just described in the manual and not listed as an included feature. Can anyone help? I called Ford. The lady said to call the dealer. Of course he's clueless. He just sells them.

I'm assuming the rest of the standard features work. I know the lane keeping does however I haven't checked the rest, cross traffic alert, pre-collision with auto emergency braking, auto high beams etc. Here's what I'm looking at:

https://www.ford.com/suvs-crossovers...es/technology/

I think I'll go out tonight and see if the auto high beam works. I once owned a 72 Lincoln Mk IV that had that feature.

Welcome to the site..

If not equipped, I’d guess that you’d need the sensors, the switch, probably some connector inserts and be able to flash the PAM module in the BCM with as built data for the feature.. Never added one, but I’d wager the cost may be a deciding factor.

I looked into adding power fold-extend mirrors for a 17 F250. Costs was about 3k (modules, switches, mirror heads) when the feature package when buying new was less than half..

Thanks for your prompt reply Hayapower. I think I'll see if I can get a dealer to install it and charge Ford. After all they advertise it as a standard feature.

I got the auto dim feature to work last night. After quite a bit of messing around I accidentally discovered how to do it. The owner's manual was no help. It said to select from the display. Actually it's controlled by the light switch. I had to turn it from full on then back one click then back to full on and the symbol for auto dim appeared on the instrument panel. I almost missed seeing it.

Since that exercise I'm wondering if the auto park feature actually is available somewhere but I just haven't found it yet. Can someone tell me please where the auto park button is located in their vehicle?

S/B on the console.

If the switch is there and you have the sensors (like on the side of the front bumper cover) then it should l/would have the option...

I have no switch there. However I have sensors that provide an alert whenever any part of the car gets a little too close to something. I get a beep and a screen display that depicts the vehicle and the display shows what part of the vehicle is getting close to hitting something when I'm parking. I'm starting to feel very ripped off. Thanks again Hayapower.

Hello grafxman, I got my 2020 edge in March with the 301A package, Not sure if Canada is the same as the US when it comes to option packages but the standard 300A package on the Titanium does not include the options you say are missing. if you got the 301A package then you would have gotten all the options you say are missing.

The 301A Equipment Group includes all Titanium features plus the following:

• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop-and-Go
• Evasive Steering
• Lane Centering
• Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation
• Adaptive LED Headlamps with LED Amber Light Blade Turn Signals
• Auto-Dimming Driver’s Sideview Mirror
• Cooled Front-Seats (Heated Front-Seats are Standard)
• Enhanced Active Park Assist with Parallel Park, Park Out Assist, Reverse Perpendicular Parking, Forward and Reverse and Side Sensing Systems
• Front 180-Degree Camera with Split View and Washer
• Heated Rear Seats
• Leather-Trimmed Seats with Perforated Inserts
• Panoramic Vista Roof® (Power Open/Close with Power Shade)
• Cold Weather Package – Floor Liners, Front and Rear, Heated Steering Wheel, Windshield Wiper De-Icer

Thanks Joe. Yes they gave me an Edge with the 300A package instead of the 301A package. There was no mention of the differences on Ford's web pages and the sales man knew nothing about "packages". Apparently the head salesman knew but he didn't say anything. However I told them that this was nothing more than a "bait and switch" scam. As a senior citizen in Florida that's a 5 year mandatory prison sentence. I had all the evidence I needed for proof of the crime.

They then offered to take the Edge back and assured me that some on the lot that did have the 301A package. However since none were blue, I refused. They then told me if I was willing to pay a bit more money for travel, there was a blue one with the 301A package about 300 miles away. I said OK, they went and got it and now I finally have what I wanted. I am absolutely clueless why Ford would put a web page up with animations demonstrating all the great features then manufacture and sell vehicles without the features and not provide a warning to the customer.

Hello Again grafxman

I'm wondering if you are having the same issues I seem to be having

1: Can you tell me when you sit in the drivers seat and turn on the cooled seats does the entire seat get cool? The dealership that I go to is saying only the part the you sit on gets cool and lumbar area it does not cool your entire back

2: Are you able to enable the adaptive headlights? We have them in our 301A package but when you go into the light settings that option is grayed out and can't be selected again I'm told that they are always on. I asked them why have the option to select them in settings if you can't do anything with it. their replay THAT'S FORD FOR YOU. got to love these dealers

Just the seat bottom is cooled. I never drive at night so I can't comment on the headlights.
