2010 Edge. There's an indicator panel next to the floor shifter. As most, it indicated P,R,N,D,L. However, at night this panel can't be seen without turning on the map light. Is there a light bulb under there that's burned out, or is it just not lit.

 

You may need to remove the covering to determine if there is a bulb under there or if they use a piece of fiber optic cable to transmit the light there. If so follow the fiber cable to the light bulb source and replace the bulb.
