I doubt this will work, but i can't find anywhere that specifically states it won't. So is there anyone out there that knows if an 08 3.0L duratec engine (interchange part number 9189) would fit in an 02 escape.

well i've looked around some more and can't find any difference between the engine i have and the one i may buy. vin numbers match, engine name etc.

Might be a good idea to check with a Ford parts dept.
