Default '08 Escape Starting Oddity

When I started the car today the engine started fine. I then tried to use the power windows and they did not work. Nor did the sunroof. Also, the radio did not come on.

I then tried to put the car in gear and there was a loud click/click from the left side of the dash and the car just shut off.

I restarted the car and it seems to work OK.

Does anybody have any idea what happened?

The Ford Fiesta is a super mini car built by Ford Europe, a subordinate of Ford Motor Company. The Fiesta was created in the early 1970s when the Europeans demand for super minis was fast rising. At that time, Ford needed a small car to compete in this rising market. The car’s name Fiesta was owned by General Motors at the time, but to an unknown reason they have given it to Ford. Then the new Ford Fiesta was unleashed in late 1975.
