Default 2005 Escape Sunroof

I recently had the sunroof motor replaced (under warranty) and within 2-3 months the sliding window stopped working. I tried opening it and heard a bunch of parts breaking above my head. It seems that all of the brackets that secure the frame to the sliding track all broke at the same time (all four mounting brackets). Unfortunately Ford told me that this is not covered under the warranty.
Is there a "replacement" kit available that is user-installable? It's summertime and I'm missing my sunroof.

Anything is fixable, but this could be really nasty (usually, the headliner needs to come out, with most of the upper interior) to fix. And the parts can be ultra expensive. And, if you don't have A LOT of experience with sunroofs, then it's really easy to mess them up. I've done them, but am much happier in my heavy line/transmissions. Good luck!

Thanks - after the quote from Ford ($1800) I decided that i really didn't need the sunroof "that" badly and you're right...for an amateur, it's not worth the frustration.
