2005 v6 no spark code p1000
I'm a bit at a loss with this one. Took off the intake and replaced the rear valve cover gasket, now it won't start, wont spark and won't let me check codes. Does this mean I have a fried PCM? What next steps should I take to figure out the problem? It Turns over fine, has fuel pressure, just no spark at all. Coils are brand new.
The P1000 just tells us the battery was probably disconnected.
After doing a lot of work sometimes we forget or don't see a simple thing like a ground wire that gets connected to the engine. Re check your work and look for a not connected ground wire, very common problem.
