I have a 2006 Escape and the engine is being replaced under warranty. My question is do I have an additional warranty on the new engine? The dealer ship is saying I only have my original extended warranty of 75000 miles. The reason I am questioning this is that I have 69000 miles on the car so that means that the new engine is only going to be warrantied for 5000 miles. I drive at least 250 miles per week. I would think there would be added warranty on a new engine. Does anyone know if I should enquire more on this or just go by what the dealership is saying?

 

Why not ask another dealership?
