Default 2007 Escape Brake Pads

Hello all! Would love some advice on this issue.

All I need to do is change front brake pads on 07 Escape. Seems that original bolts are still holding the caliper on, and the bolt is a weird size, dealer told me 14 x 35 mm (metric). What tool do I need to remove those bolts? Worried that a socket a bit small might strip the bolts, but need correct socket size.

There are some things you should consider,
First; If those are the original calipers still on the vehicle, the calipers could be due for replacement.
Then, you will need some addl sockets to do the job
Then,, you will need to add some brake fluid to replace what was in the calipers you removed.
Then all the air must be removed from the replacement calipers and it could require the use of a scan tool to activate the solenoids in the ABS unit so any air that went into the system can be bled out.
Are you ready for this?
Also, depending on the mileage and condition of the rotors ,will you be replacing them or do they need to be trued?
Just replacing the pads is only part of the job and I hope you are prepared for all this .
