Got a 2007 escape limited with the 3 valve. It was my neighbors but they moved sold it cheap to me bc it didn't run. They had the wrong battery in there and trying to turn it on fried the starter. So I out new battery in and starter and it will go to start but the anti theft is on now. How do I get it off?

 

Because the functionality of your particular vehicle's anti-theft system is contained in the PCM, a certified locksmith (with security clearance) or dealership will be required with a capable scan tool to reset all this.
They will have to come to your location to do this or have the vehicle towed to their location.
I would suggest you obtain estimates as to which is less costly.
