I am looking to rebuild the engine on my 08 escape.(2.3L duratec 4 cyl) I'm thinking on doing a moderate performance upgrade. I'm thinking on starting slow because it can get expensive and have other bills to take care of as well. I'm looking into slightly larger performance pistons, and slightly larger bearings, along with an engine rebuild kit. Would that affect anything in the head if I dont upgrade right now. I eventually want to get performance cams, headers, manifold, intake, lifters etc. But for the time being, I want to start from the bottom up. Would I need other upgrades ?
