I was wondering if anyone could tell me why my escape shuts off when in park it just started doing this within the last few days. Today we took it in to have the recalls fixed hoping it would fix the problem. They were throttle body recalls and that didnt help at all. Anyone have any suggestions?

 

I can't say without checking, but if the problem only happens in park and no other time and it just started to do this there is a good possibility the MLPS (manul lever position switch)aka, neutral safety switch on the trans could have a problem.

 

I will have to check in to that and see if that is it.. thank you
