In my new 2018 Escape SEL, one time today the ignition key was hot when I took it out. Anything to be concerned with?

 

You do realize that is somewhat of a loaded question.
We don't know if the vehicle was parked in the sun or any of the conditions at the time you removed the key. It is an unusual circumstance and the more info you can provide the possibility of obtaining an intelligent answer may be within reach.
