Hello I need help locating my Purge Valve in my 2020 Ford Escape 1.5L Ecoboost. It is throwing a PO496 code. I want to replace the Purge Valve but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

It's within the emission warranty. Why mess with it? Have the dealer fix it.

If you locate the charcoal canister, trace the tubing from there. one line should go to the fuel tank and another should go to the purge valve that when electrically opened will have a line going to the intake manifold.You might consider buying the valve if you are going to replace it anyway, then you will be able to find it in the engine compartment.

 

The charcoal canister is located under the car under the driver’s seat. You have to removed the under carriage cover to access it. The purge valve is mounted on the canister.
