Default 2024 Escape Brake Light Switch

I have a 2024 Ford Escape and I'm trying to wire in a trailer brake controller I already have. I need to connect to the brake wire coming from the down side of the brake switch.
Looking under the dash I don't find the expected brake switch in the mounting bracket. There is a braket with the expected mountung hole but no switch.
I can't seem to identify a brake switch attached to the brake pedal as in every Ford I've worked on before.
Any idea what I'm looking for, I'm stumped.

Not sure if they use a manual or hydraulic stop light sw.

You might trace the wire coming from the stoplights and use that wire.providing the vehicle has separate signal and stoplights..
Otherwise, you may need to look further where the stoplight signal comes to the signal light sw..

It is mechanically operated by the brake pedal. Just look for where the pedal pushes in a plunger on a plastic sw assy when the pedal comes up.

This is the switch your talking about, looks like the one here. There is a bracket where you would expect this to mount but there is nothing there, no switch, no wiring. I've changed many like this before.
There is nothing mounted with the brake pedal, just the pedal and pivot point and linkage to the master cylinder.
I can only assume that they chenaged to a hydraulic switch which would be mounted with the master cylinder. Can't locate on their either. Guess I'll have to take it to an RV installer to get it done..
