I have a 2002 escape with 84,000 miles on. The car is driving fine but the airbag light randomly started blinking and then just stayed on. any help?

Can you tell what the light flash code is? Just turn the key to the ON position, then the light will come on, then start flashing, pause, then flash again. Count the number of flashes for the first set, then the other set after the pause and it should give you a two digit code. Let me know.

It went off for a while right after i posted last time. Now it comes on after i've been driving about 15 minutes and when if i get on the break hard it will flash a few times or just stays on. I'll look and count the number of times it flashes though. What could the codes mean?

I have a 2004 and have the same problem.I work in a shop and it doesn't blink the codes only late model Chevys. If you hit your brake and it came on it probably is the same thing with mine. The airbag sensor in the driverside quartar panel is bad.
