I placed an order for a new Escape Hybrid to take advantage of the Employee Pricing and get exactly what I want. After waiting 2 months to hear about my build, I got email that said it would be another 2 months before they even start to build it.

I have a hard date for a late Fall vacation. I am really concerned that it won't be delivered in time. In the meantime, I found a dealer local to me that has what I was looking for The only difference is the exterior color. I could buy that car now for less than the order I placed.

Since the build date is still at least 6 weeks out, can I cancel my order?

 

If you did not leave any deposit, what does the place with your new find suggest ?

 

I didn't see any reason to let the new dealer know I had another deal on the line

I brought the new car home today and then called the first dealer to cancel my order
