dragging front brakes
Hi, I have a 2012 ford escape limited 3.0L 4 wheel drive with 110,000 miles. My issue is front brakes are dragging. It has new calipers, rotors, pads and new flex hoses. My mechanic told me to take it to the dealership. They replaced the master cylinder, checked all brake lines and still had drag. They replaced the abs hydraulic control unit and that fixed it. Now 1 year later it has brake drag again. Cost my $3,000.00 I don't know what to do, I can drive it but I can feel it dragging. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brian
What we could do,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,make sure all the other parts that can cause ragging are again checked and verified working properly.
If it is found to be a repeat problem of the ABS control unit , there is the possibility of a bad parts run or something is causing the control unit to fail.
Need to check if there is a service bulletin relating to this problem.
