There's nothing special about this short hose that's rotting away on my '05 Escape 3.0's EGR valve, right? I'm assuming I can just use standard rubber tubing to replace it but figure I should check to make sure.

 

In a bind you could get away with regular rubber hose, but you should use "Fuel line hose" which is more resistant to the harsh environment under the hood.
