Default Seatbelt 2nd row drivers side jammed 2011

The seatbelt won't release and gets tighter if the seat is folded down, meaning that you can't get it back up. I changed the mechanism from a junkyard car which worked perfectly until I installed it. There is some sort of release in the seat back latch but I can't tell how it works. Anyone know?

You won't get it to retract unless its in the exact correct orientation as when the seats not upright. If you can figure out how to remove the seatbelt you can get it to retract then install it and see what the issue is.

I removed it and put in a new one, which worked before I put it in. There is a cable going to the upper backrest latch, but not sure how it works. I suspect the latch. Don't know where to find a diagram.
