Strange noise from my 2011 Escape
I place the front end on jacks and rotated the driver side tire. The clicking appears to be coming from where the cv axle enters the transmission case. There are no visible sign of torn boots or any grease/oil leaks of any kind. Perhaps unrelated, yet the clicking noise started after I had 4 new tires installed. The clicking begins when either turning or driving straight or in reverse at about 5mph and progresses as the SUV accelerates. Brakes does not make to stop.
The sound and consistency is of a child's bike with a poker card in the spokes...just to give a comparison we can relate too. I have a video hopefully I can upload it....... I thank everyone in advance for your advice....

Sometimes noises can originate in one place and get telegraphed to another area.
The only way to be sure is to raise the vehicle front , rotate the wheel and get under it to pinpoint the exact area. There is always the possibility a piece of dust shield may have been deformed in the process of installing the wheel.
