Weird power loss issue
Hello, I have a 2015 Ford Escape. In October of 22 it randomly died on me, 3x before beinging able to drive away. Since then it does it very randomly. It's always right after I start up and go to drive off, no it doesn't matter if it has a start up period or if I start and go. It is not bothered by Temputure, when it acts up it is always after short period of time of it being off before restart (short period, the longer it sits the less chance it will do it.) Seems more like to do it when I'm out running errands than just going to and from work. It will stutter a little then start to struggle on power oil light and battery light come on and gas pedal no longer any use. Only engine power like my music and lights are good. Also has done it while ideling but not often and only if Ideling for a length of time, also there as been a few times over been able to pedal to metal and it won't die completely. But most the time it dies nd I park power off and on and it will either do it a few more times or work fine. Once it is running I have no issues at all.
Sorry for the lengthy explanation as I've been trying to figure this out since October and my mechanic has already replaced my fuel pump and it didn't correct it.

The better way to tackle this problem is to look at the "Freeze Frame" info that a quality scan tool can provide.
With that info you can see what is dropping out, when and under what operating conditions. Once you have that info you can effect the necessary repairs and NOW you can recheck since you know exactly what conditions to duplicate to verify the repair was the solution..
