My 1993 wagon sometimes won't start. All the lights turn on like normal but it won't turn over or anything. I have to muscle it down into neutral because it doesn't want to come out of park. Once in neutral, it starts normal. Please help!!!

 

Many times it involves the MLPS(manual lever position switch) which is mounted on the top of the trans and is activated by the shift cable from inside the car. If it has worked fine until recently, chances are it has bad contacts inside, but might be corrected by very slight adjustment if not bad contacts.
