88 escort intermitten overheating
I have an 88 escort which on occasion likes to overheat, it never really gets to the point of smoking or steaming, just rides above normal. also, sometimes it says its normal when it's really not. It seems to overheat more often with alot of parking getting out and restarting or slower speeds. the water pump, thermostat, coolant fan switch, and all hoses have been replaced recently. Any ideas? coolant temp switch maybe? or any other suggestions are welcome, thanks.

You replaced a lot of stuff, but you did not mention the radiator.
But first make sure that the fan comes on as it should.
Also the temperature sensor that sends the signal to the dashboard may be bad or the dash instrument itself could be bad.
Is your radiator clean on the outside?
Is there an air bubble in the cooling system?

Yes the fan comes on as it should when turning on the AC so the fan and motor work fine. The radiator looks fine not dirty or leaking. As far as an air bubble, what would be the best way of checking this, or fixing it? But it has been nototrious for having electrical problems also so i will be sure to check dash and look at temp sensor.

If a picture is worth 1000 words, how much value is in a video?
