Escort RS Cosworth brake pad change
Hi there,
Im looking to inquire whether I would need special tools if I choose to swap brake pads DIY and for a change not take the car to a shop. I am not so mechanically minded but from the manual it seems pretty straightforward job https://www.carmanualsonline.info/fo...kshop-manual/8 - from page 72

Everyone agrees about attempting to help yourself when it is prudent.
Brakes , however , if you are not experienced, can cause you unforseen problems.. You need to be able to spot when something is unusual or out of place and this means hoses, hardware etc.
If anything is overlooked or goes wrong when the vehicle won't go , you can always push it off to the side, but there is very little alternative when it won't stop..
If you are not familiar with brake work , ,if possible , hand the job to someone that is experienced with brake work.
