Default Loss of power after it warms up

Hey y'all my oldest boy has a friend and he's got a problem with his car. It runs just fine while cold but, as as soon as it gets warm it bogs way down and ain't got any power. At first we thought that the tranny might be bad but it doesn't slip like one would do if that's the problem. The motor doesn't rev up and the car not move. the car has a 1.9 L and the tranny is an automatic with o/d. I'll update this thread as soon as I can take it for a spin and really tell y'all what it's doing.
