Hello all, I hope someone can help me out. I have what I believe is a type 2, 4 speed gearbox from a Ford Escort and I am trying to figure out where the reverse light switch should be. Is the white nylon bolt thingy where the reverse light switch should be?

If you are careful, you might carefully remove that "plug". Not sure from pix, but there could be a spring and ball in there to provide a detent for gear lever positioning.
