I have a 2002 Excursion. I've tried the wd40 trick on the door latches but it did not fix my problem.

The dome and running board lights stay on and the door ajar light is off. I'm driving down the road with my interior lights on. Not bad during the day but at night it is a huge distraction. I have resorted to pulling the bulbs from the driver and passenger lights.

When the vehicle is off and all doors closed the dome lights and running board lights stay on for 20+ minutes before going off. No change if I lock the vehicle.

I have tried to rotate the dash dimmer switch to the "dome light on" position and then back down with no change in behavior. Is there another switch that turns on the interior and running board lights I should look at?

Any other suggestions?
