04 Expedition radio....
Just bought this vehicle today...sounds,runs and drives great...however...turned radio on and its almost full blast...and cannot be turned down. Any ideas....other than a new one?

What level of audio unit? AM/FM CD or ?
You could remove the power and try and let it re initialize, or, you can put it in self diagnostic mode and see if it catches an issue.
To enter the diagnostic mode you have to enter the speaker walk around test first.
To enter walk around,, make sure it's turned ON and in tuner mode (AM/FM etc) and 'simultaneously press the preset buttons 3-6. Speaker testing will start and each will be displayed. During the walk around test, press the preset button 1 and the unit should enter self test mode. See if you get a Self Fail...
