I have a 2004 expedition 4.6 and recently it started what feels like either a power surge or transmission slip. It happens randomly and throws no faults. It lasts only a split second but it feels like the engine or transmission is going to fall out of the truck. Occasionally when it happens the warning alarm goes off and a random consol light will flash. I've seen the battery light flash, the cruise control light flash, and the 4X4 high light flash....it's two wheel drive by the way. They never flash on and off together but independently and not every time. I've also seen what appears to be the check charging system warning flash but it happens so fast and I'm never prepared to catch what it says. I'm at a loss on what to check. If anyone out there has seen this happen or has an idea of what to check......I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

 

Questionable electrical connections can provide symptoms like these. Without any special direction to follow, might be a good idea to just check and confirm as many ground connections as you can see.
