Default 1999 expedition 5.4 fuel problems

I am hoping someone can help me with my problem... I am at a loss now...
3 Years ago my Eddie Bauer expedition starting having small issues... The car would run but once you turned it off you could not restart it again until it cooled off. So we parked it for those 3 years due to unfortunate events. I knew the fuel pump was bad just didn't have funds or time.

Was able to replace the fuel pump and put new fuel filter on it but it still would not start. Had fuel pressure to the rails but Noticed there was fuel around my injectors. So replaced the injectors, spark plugs and the ignition coils and a brand new battery.
Once we put it back together now I have no fuel pressure to the rails at all. We have checked fuses and all the fuel lines coming into the motor and we cannot figure out why we have no fuel pressure. Can anyone Help Me?

There is a "Fuel Pump Driver Module " under the rear of the vehicle. They were known to corrode and malfunction.
The corrosion took place between the module and chassis where most were mounted. If you see any corrosion, just replace it.
Before going any further let's see what you find, thanks.

Thank you for the quick response, however I have researched this and they didn't make a fuel pump driver module for this year model. They didn't start this until 2005.

Did you check to determine where you may have power going to the fuel pump and where it is getting lost?

Many good fuel pumps get replaced because the "mechanic" failed to verify power is or is not getting to the fuel pump assy.
You might start at the fuel pump fuse/relay and see where it is getting interrupted.
Don't forget to verify it also has a good ground connection.

I know we have power to the relay. I saw a video yes that showed me how to test the pump at the fuel shut off valve. Will try that and update.
it's just weird we have fuel pressure after we changed the pump and then when we changed the fuel rail we don't....

Fuel pressure,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,how much?

How are you determining you have adequate fuel pressure?
The only reliable way is with a scan tool or a fuel pump press tester.

Where is this fuel shut off valve you are referring to ?

Before we changed the injectors we had about 30 lbs pressure and yes with a fuel pressure gauge.
after we have nothing at all.

The expedition has a fuel shut off in case of accidents. It's inside the passage side panel by the door. We have checked the reset button on it and it is not activated.

So we are on the same page, what you call the shut off valve is called the inertia switch. Power comes from the fuel pump relay to the inertia sw and down to the fuel pump. That power is for 1-2 seconds when you first turn the key on. If the vehicle does not see an RPM signal it opens the relay, so if you don't hear the fuel pump running it is because the engine has not started .It will allow the pump to run when cranking the engine to start.

But the trouble is I have already replaced the fuel pump. I was getting fuel in the fuel rails but Noticed them leaking so I changed the injectors and the ignition coils and now No fuel pressure.

When you first turn the key on , do you have power at the inertia sw ? 1-2seconds

Never hurts to recheck your work..

Don't forget to check the fuses.
