2000 Expedition Front Axle noise

2000 Expedition Front Axle noise
I have a 2000 Expedition with 113K miles. Today while placing a ladder into the truck the ladder hit the 4H 4L dial and placed the truck into 4H. I switched the dial back to normal AW drive and now their is a clicking noise coming from the axle.
Not sure if its the differential or hub. Any input is appreciated.
