2003 Expedition No Crank, Start, or Power
My 2003 won't crank, start, or has any power until it is jumped. Once jumped power is restored until suv comes to a complete stop then it completely dies requiring another jump. Please help.
There are some things that we need to confirm.
Are all the connections from the battery on to the rest of the vehicle clean and in good condition.
Once we know the connections are good, the battery and the charging systems need to be verified working as required.
All the jump is doing is providing extra power to the electrical system which is suffering from lack of power.
For example, the battery may not be providing sufficient power to the vehicle because the charging system may not be keeping the battery charged.
If the battery is defective and not accepting a charge, that could be one problem. If there are dirty connections the charging system can't do it's job because high resistance from dirty connections refuse the charge to the battery.
Even if the battery was replaced with a new one,and the root cause was not found and corrected , the new battery would suffer the same fate.
