Hello, I own a 99 EB Expedition. A few weeks back it seemed like my brakes were locking up so I replaced them all around. The symptoms were that when I would make sharp low speed turns it felt like I was in low 4 wheel drive, jerking and even stopping the truck. Now that I replaced the brakes it is still doing it. Can it be something in the transfer case or??? thanks.

 

It's probably a fuse in the ABS system.

 

not the fuse, so I am going to check the rear speed sensor???

 

replaced the rear ABS sensor and the ABS light went off but did not fix the orignal problem???

 

There's a tsb on replacing the clutch packs in the rear diff on those. Tire chatter/binding while making turns.

well I took it to my local mechanic and he is saying that it is locked in 4W drive all the time but he is not sure why. He says the motor is running fine so he doesn't think it is ecletrical. He thinks it is internal and that is not his expertise. I guess my best bet is to take it to the local Ford dealer???
