Default A/C Problems 2003 Expedition

Ok here is where i'm at. Front A/C is working ok not real cold but ok. I have check level of freon and everything looks good there. At idle the air gets warmer, a little throttle it gets colder. Oh and Max A/C blows out the defrost. Ok, on to the Rear A/C. Sometimes it blows cold air but mostly blows warm air. I have read about the 2 white boxes tha control temp and air flow under the trim. I am able to axcess them, but I do no hear any clicking or knocking noises everyone complains of when they go bad. So I dont know if this is the problem or something else. I have felt the pipes under the car leading to the back for temp. It seems 2 are very hot, 1 is cool and the other seems a little warm. Does anyone have any suggestions from here. Hope fully I have given enough info. What should idle RPM be?
