Cruise Control works after 5 minutes - 04 Navigator
Posted this yesterday in Newby section, thought I’d try here, since this is similar to the Eddie Baurer.
Been working on a 2004 Lincoln Navigator 5.4l 4x4
At first the Speed Control did not work. Then I replaced the cutoff release switch on the Master Cylinder. That fixed it, and it worked great for a month.
I had to drive to TX for a funeral over Christmas, and during and since the trip the Cruise Control now takes about 5 minutes to engage, then works normal until I turn off engine. Then I have to wait again about 5 minutes. I noticed it when I would stop for gas, and cut it off. 5 miles down the road it works.
I press On and Set it does not matter. Then whatever it’s looking for I can hit Set, works like nothings wrong.
Is there a vacuum line or problem I can look at to let it pass when I turn key on normal?
Lights seem to still pass on Self Diagnostic fine.
